Taiwan Semi-Conductor <\/strong>fabrication<\/strong>firms(NYSE: TSM)<\/span>The stock climbed on Thursday, jumping as high as 3.41 TP3T, and as of 11:47 a.m. ET, the stock was still up 1.51 TP3T.<\/p>\n

The semiconductor specialist shared some positive news with investors following the massive earthquake that hit the island earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Disaster Relief Rebound<\/h2>\n

Earlier on Wednesday, Taiwan was hit by the strongest earthquake in 25 years. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM) noted that it \"activated precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of its employees in accordance with procedures, and evacuated some of its factories.\"<\/p>\n

The world's largest maker of carrier chips shared an update with well-wishers and investors following the tragedy. All personnel are safe and returned to work shortly after the incident,\" the company said in a statement. The company added that it was \"currently assessing the impact\" on its manufacturing capabilities.<\/p>\n

TSMC reported overnight that it expects to resume operations.\" The company said, \"There was no damage to our critical tools, including all of our extreme ultraviolet lithography tools. There was a small amount of damage, but the company is working hard to get everything back to normal.<\/p>\n

A key contributor to the artificial intelligence revolution<\/h2>\n
